At its' quarterly meeting on October 22nd the Administrative Board of Faith United Methodist Church voted to upgrade our sanctuary sound system and pave the complete church parking lot. This will be done with remaining money in the bequest account.
This account was started in 2006 with bequests from the estates of Dr. Ellen Dickinson and Louah Lewis. This completes the recommendations of the subcommittee formed to oversee the expenditure of these bequests.
We are deeply grateful that FUMC was one of the beneficiaries of each of these estates. Previously funds from this account had been used to upgrade the sanctuary lighting, purchase front sign, construct handicap parking area and purchase a projector cart.
The defibrillator purchased with Memorial Funds has been received and has been mounted in a cabinet at the south door of the sanctuary. In the near future Herb Meyer and Darrin Haight will be holding a session to familiarize the congregation in its use.
Many thanks to Leo Shepard for constructing the cabinet in which the unit is stored.
