Greetings from Faith United Methodist Church in Barker/Somerset. We are located in Western NY on Lake Ontario approximately 30 miles North of Buffalo NY. Our church family believes that God has called us to be the church at this time and in this place, to nurture our members and to reach out to the community. We strive to do this in a number of ways...Faith United offers worship that includes the good news for all ages. Services include praise choruses, hymns, choir anthems, children story time, a message that connects faith to living each day, sharing prayer concerns in a positive encouraging way.
We also have on the premises a food and clothing pantry for those who have need in the Barker School District. United Methodist Women offers women the opportunity to meet together, share and reach out to other by way of missions projects, community efforts and supports. DISCIPLE is another group that vigorously ministers, reaches out and encourages others. Sunday school meets each Sunday following worship throughout the school year and offers a class for everyone in the family.
Throughout the year Faith United offers many ways that you can learn, fellowship, and use your talents to bless others including: Summer Bible studies, lemonade in the library, advent studies, special music summer program, children's camp opportunities and more.
